After more than a decade of dancing his way around the globe to the rhythm of house music, it was inevitable that Terry Vietheer’s future passion was bound to play out on the other side of the decks. Fast-forward four years into his career to find Terry playing his sound around the world.
Terry Vietheer began his first residency in 05 playing to a few hundred people on Sydney’s famous Oxford St. As his reputation was building for his energetic sets of funky electric house, Terry was suddenly playing Sydney’s leading bars, clubs and parties imprinting his sound to thousands.
During the summer of 06, Terry Vietheer joined John Course, Goodwill, Tommy Trash, Alex Taylor and DTPM’s Alan Thompson as part of the Ministry of Sound ‘Sessions’ and ‘Housexy’ tour. These parties lead to supporting UK’s Miss Kellie Marie as part of Hed Kandi’s annual tour which had Australia’s #1 music website, inthemix.com.au, affirm Terry has a great future ahead of him.
In 07, Australia’s leading circuit party, Homesexual, recruited Terry Vietheer for their legendary parties held at Sydney’s Home nightclub. His “hands in the air” closing sets have become a highlight while supporting some of the worlds leading artists such as Peter Rauhofer, Tracey Young, DJ Paulo and Offer Nissin.
In his four years of playtime, Terry Vietheer has been a regular face at the monthly Fag Tag parties. This Gay, Lesbian, Straight and all in between event has seen Terry play at the hottest venues in Sydney including The Bank, Opera Bar, The Argyle, Oxford Art Factory and The Eastern.
A new chapter started for Terry Vietheer in 08 as he relocated to London. This move not only has opened his ears but also has created many opportunities. Terry’s first UK residency kicked off with Pacha’s high-octane music event ‘Funky4love’ while his second UK residency lured a deep tech house sound into Heaven’s VIP room.
Not turning his back on Australia, Terry has had the privilege of bringing the Fag Tag party over to London as his third residency showing London a unique party experience supported by the likes of Alistair Albrecht (Nocturnal Groove) and Jason Hates Jazz (Defected).
Next step for the boy from down under? Terry Vietheer is the latest recruit to join Sammy Jo (Scissor Sisters Tour DJ), DJ Cat NYC, Chus & Ceballos and Per QX as part of the Jump DJ agency. In between his international gigs with Jump DJ, Terry will also be heading into the studio.
